About David Ridge

“I have been an intensive care Registered Nurse since 1979, also specialising in industrial workplace trauma, sometimes overseas. I’ve worked extensively in community health projects and workplace health-promotion. More recently I helped organise NHS mass-recruitment and personally interviewed and directly managed hundreds of Nurses and Carers to work for NHS flexible staff banks, as well as conducting incident investigations for two large Hospital Trusts. I trained for four years to become a fully qualified Feldenkrais Practitioner in 2003 and have completed three years partial studies in Hakomi (a form of embodied self-enquiry).

The Feldenkrais Method

The Feldenkrais Method is a gentle movement therapy with an impressive record. It can help people with a variety of conditions, from easing sports injuries, back and limb problems, shoulder, neck and back pain to increasing mobility and flexibility for people who suffer from arthritis, rheumatism and stroke-related problems.

The Method can also help those who are fit and well to keep in prime condition by improving flexibility and co-ordination of movement, encouraging improved breathing habits and relaxation.
